Bienvenue à bord!

Being the seasoned travelers we are, we have a few questions and answers. Anyone who has flown is familiar with the safety instructions provided at the beginning of the flight and just prior to landing. Such as, seat backs forward and trays upright. Trays upright I kind of understand, but seat backs forward doesn’t make sense. As The Leaver would say, “What does it mean?” Is it to increase speed? Like when you lean forward on a low CC scooter or bicycle in an attempt to pick up the speed? Is our ability to take off quicker truly dependent on whether or not passengers are forward sitting. If so, I would like to have a few words to the passenger in 16D. Pretty sure he was the main reason our flight was delayed.

Like many other airlines, Air France provides an instructional video to promote safety messages. As we were watching the video the flight attendant on the screen mentioned smoking was “strictly forbidden.” This is a phrase commonly used by our cute little French friend, Maverick Midget King. Sleepless took note, “Now we know where Maverick Midget King learned to speak English.”

The instructions continued and, as they were demonstrating use of the inflatable life jacket, the passenger to our right quickly checked underneath his seat to ensure his jacket was there – seems a bit doubting, but perhaps he has had prior flights when he needed it and it wasn’t there. I was telling Sleepless I didn’t bring a neck pillow and was thinking about inflating my life vest. It was as if the video attendant heard my idea because she instructed, “Do not use your life jacket for any other reason.”

Our final question, “Are we there yet?” was answered 15 hours after our initial departure from New York City. We were finally on foreign soil. Now, we will be tasked with more difficult questions and answers. Est-ce que vous parlez anglais? Seulement en lit. Comment payez-vous? Seulement en lit. And last, but not least, gay or foreign (a question we frequently ask regardless of our location)? Seulement en lit…..bienvenue à bord!

    of you.

  8. Earlier this morning, I randomly got up at around 3 AM, still thinking about Kaiji.
It’s crazy how much it sticks with you.
One thing I recently discovered is that Kaiji’s gambling games are actually based on real psychological and game theory
concepts. That just makes me respect the anime even more.

Too wired to sleep, so I checked out a write-up that explained the psychology
behind the anime. If you like that kind of stuff,
    it’s a must-read.
With my brain still spinning, I logged into my regular slot site and decided to
spin a few reels. I picked Gate of Olympus—something about
    the vibe just matched.
And get this—I scored a grand. Did not see that coming.
What I love about Book of Dead is the thrill of expanding symbols triggering unexpectedly.

So now I’m wondering… was it pure chance?
    Or was that destiny?
Anyone else ever feel something similar?.

  12. A few hours ago, I suddenly opened my eyes at around 3 AM, still
thinking about the anime Kaiji. It’s crazy how much it sticks with you.

A fact I came across not long ago is that Kaiji’s gambling games are actually
based on real psychological and game theory concepts.
No wonder it feels so real.
Still wide awake, so I found this deep-dive blog post that explained the psychology behind the anime.

Still riding the mental high, I opened up my go-to casino app and
decided to spin a few reels. I picked Gate of Olympus—no idea why.

And get this—I won $1000. Totally unexpected. What I really like about Gate of
Olympus is the way multipliers can stack like crazy during free
    spins.
So now I’m wondering… was it pure chance? Or was that destiny?

Let me know your thoughts below.

  13. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a
comment is added I get four emails with the same
comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that
    service? Thanks!

  14. A few hours ago, I woke up at around 3 AM, with my
mind stuck on the anime Kaiji. It’s crazy how much it sticks with you.

One thing I recently discovered is that the creator used real behavioral tactics to
make the gambling in Kaiji feel brutally authentic.
No wonder it feels so real.
Still wide awake, so I checked out a write-up that explained the
psychology behind the anime. If you like that kind of stuff,
    it’s a must-read.
Still buzzing from it all, I fired up my go-to casino app and
played a few rounds. I picked Gate of Olympus—it just felt right
    in that moment.
You’re not going to believe this—I won $1000.
Blew my mind. What I love about Book of Ra is how those
bonus rounds come out of nowhere and flip everything.

So now I’m wondering… was that just luck?

    Or did Kaiji awaken something?
Anyone else ever feel something similar?.
